North Pender trustees approve housing survey and project plan
The committee endorsed a work plan for its Housing Access and Affordability Project and directed staff to start a web-based survey of residents and property owners.

Staff will begin a web-based qualitative housing-needs survey targeting local residents and property owners after the North Pender Local Trust Committee endorsed the project charter, work plan and engagement strategy at its July 26 meeting.[1]
The minutes say trustees discussed gathering information about existing housing and whether short-term vacation rentals would be part of the rental stock if not used for vacation rentals. They also noted that two community information meetings on housing had drawn limited participation and that a survey could reach a wider audience.[1]
The committee also endorsed a business case for the project for fiscal year 2026 and directed staff to forward it to relevant committees and Trust Council.[1]
