The North Pender Local Trust Committee approved a temporary-use permit after amending it to last one year, limit stays to six guests and require the removal of two danger trees shown in Schedule A.[1]

The committee’s minutes say the permit was NP-TUP-2023.4 and that the amended issuance was approved.[1]

Planner Charly Caproff reported that the applicant had confirmed an on-site cistern held 2,000 gallons and that the Fire Department did not require an increase for fire suppression.[1]

The minutes record that five letters opposing the application were received during the notification period for the July meeting and two during the period for the September meeting.[1]

The committee also directed staff to seek a more detailed estimate, including three locally based quotes, for the remediation deposit in a separate development-permit application.[1]
